Rainy days and Java always get me down

I've Moved My Blog

It's currently located at http://www.urlinone.com/blog

I should say "I'm moving my blog." It's a pretty painful process.

Pebble has blown up on me, and it's been many months since I've been able to blog reliably. I've lost posts. And now I've got to figure out how to migrate my past blog posts from Pebble to my new destination without all the URLs changing, lest external links become 404 Not Founds.

Why does everything in the 21st century have to be a three-day project???

...all you have to do is edit run.bat or run.sh from the appfuse-installer-1.8 and change the line

   java -jar software.jar
   java -jar appfuse-installer.jar

The other funky thing is that when the installation was complete, the installer looked like this:

I stared at that a long time before I checked Windows Exploder and realized that AppFuse was installed. I'm not sure, but I suspect that it looks like that because I unchecked Ant and Tomcat, since they were already installed. I guess the percentage calculations got about 99% confused.

Thanks for posting this Lee. I've fixed the problem in CVS (renamed back to software.jar) so it should work for the next release. Note that you can just click on the JAR and open it with Java to invoke the installer directly. For the next release, it might be nice to offer this installer via Java Web Start. <br /><br /> As far as the installation progress - I've seen that too. Sounds like a bug in MyJavaPack to me. ;-)
Matt, with all you do, it's amazing how few things actually do slip through the cracks. It's nice to see a little glitch once in a while just to prove you're not a machine. :-)<p>Or are your programmed to make those occasional blunders? ;-P
it means the real work left to you makes up 99 % :-)
